It’s been a busy couple of months for me with regards to Of Shark and Man. Firstly, we went to Berlin for the International Film-Maker Festival with three nominations (Best Cinematography in a Feature Documentary, Best Director of a Documentary and Best Science and Education) and we won the Best Cinematography award! We were up against some stiff competition so I was over the moon. Huge congratulations to Noel of “Choc’late Soldiers” for his Science and Education award win and Colin and Laura Graham for “Outcaste’s” win in Best Director!
It was a great week, I met up with old friends and made new ones, especially the amazingly talented Maria Soccor of “Lords of BSV” and her boyfriend Marcos. It was awesome to spend the week with you guys!
Things have also been busy on the screenings front with Sharkfest UK, followed by four days with Emirates Diving Association in Dubai. Ally Landes was the perfect host throughout and the event was a great success! She has also published a review and interview in their magazine so make sure to check that out!
We also had the privilege of visiting Futureworks in Manchester, who hosted a screening and Q&A for their students. Again, it was a great success and the Q&A stretched on well past the allotted time once again. Big thanks to Richard and Tom for having me there!
